Pacific Coconut Crushed Pearl
yeah I picked this up in Sephora and loved how she felt in my hand and bought her.....we'll see how this goes....

I love how the clerks always ask you if they can "help you".... as if they're trained in what the packaging looks like or can guide you to the ones with the truly hot names :-D

L'Oreal Hair Expertise EverPure (all of this is trademarked of course) ...
... Sulfate-Free Color Care System Rosemary Juniper Moisture Shampoo 8.5 OZ tube...

I just bought this tube as an impulse buy (I could care less what's inside as I'm a packaging-collector/design-romantic)... I really like this and not sure why yet...

- She's big
- Nice red
- She feels smooth
- Some of this lettering might be my favorite font. Lots of the lettering is Related to her...

Don't like seeing the word "HARSH" on the front for some reason... Unattractive word. Sorta kinda but not really like saying "CONTAINS NO SH.T"

We are sorry to hear about the disappearance of LJ community "packagelove"
I personally want to thank the moderator of that community for supporting our hobby and, in my case, 'cause'. I want to tell you I had many joys on your forum :-)

I sincerely hope that you continue to support projects such as the forum you used to run on LiveJournal, whether they be this one, another one on LJ, or even one on another website.

It's not about how many packaging fandom communities there are, but how many packaging design -fans- there are.

I appreciate your efforts toward this hobby and hope everyone works to keep this hobby going.

Superfino Arborio Itialian (rice)
Unforunately, I do not have a picture, but here's what I liked:

- Decently large bag
- Made out of reasonably thick plastic
- Pretty attractively done/labeled in brownish(?)/tannish(?) color...
- Instance of word "Directions" (a favorite word of mine) prominently on back...

Would have kept but was seen in a residential dumpster while throwing out the trash...

Around here we keep the 'LF' number (shows how beautiful something is) for unsaved finds; hers of 6 or 7 of 10.

Contingency Plan
This forum may have to move offsite without warning. If you are interested in admiring the beauty in human creations (including ideas) in relevance to this forum's subject or any other, you can send an e-mail to "rauldandrea" at "yahoo" dot "com" to keep in touch (please say what genres of human creations are of interest to you).

Doing so will mean that I can tell you of any forums I create on other sites related to the indicated subjects.

Always fun to find Lovely container...
Today I found a sexy little empty food box with a nice name including both the word "La" and the name "Marie" (the latter as part of a secondary, less-primary name)... Always nice to meet interesting new containers...

I also found a sexy little mozzerella sticks bag about a week ago :-)

Everytime a designer makes a unique piece of packaging, they are creating a new little darling that someone like me might share something with. I don't love every one I find, which is what makes this so special when this does happen :-)

When did I first collect packaging?
It's been a very long time since I joined the ranks of people who collect packaging... I must have been about 14 or 15 when my first interests in labeled tubes developed.

Even as a kid, I felt a tube of Soft Sheen (SoftSheen? without the space?) Cocoa Butter was one of the neatest things I had ever seen... She wasn't just beautiful in appearance, but -felt- wonderful. On my various blogs I occasionally rally about a newly found tube who feels similarly wonderful in your hand, and express confusion as to how such beauty could have gone 'extinct'. I miss these immensely, but unless some old lady finds an unopened forgotten one, I'm outta luck.

And this just went on from there... Potting soil and organic product bags also became important to me as time went on... There's a company called Hoffman who has absolutely incredible packaging for their organic products...

I get crap sometimes from artsy-fartsies over some of the simpler packaging I like... The point is that -all- packaging design is -art-. I might like something for a reason they don't understand, but that doesn't make something 'not art'. To each his own. I spend far more time admiring the containers of everyday products than I do in 'art' galleries...

On Top
She is a bag of whipped topping used in restaurants. She is labeled (for the most part) in one of my favorite fonts...

And yes, dispensing product from her feels wonderful... Not a joy I've had much though. Not sold in stores. I had to ask a bartender for one when almost empty (I practically staked the place out to get her :-) )... This is also why the pics of this full one are dark.. She was photographed in a bar in Washington, DC...

I wish they hadn't changed these...
This was from the late 90's or the early next decade...
